So far everything has been going extremely well for me raising money for the Humane Society. My family has  partnered up with Coyer Candle and we have done very well with selling many candles. We outreached to our family that lives downstate and they alone have sold over 10 candles. They are eight dollars a candle and half of the money goes to the Humane Society. Its a great cause and it saves lives. Fundraising is so crucial for the humane society, When it first opened the humane society was given a very large grant to get us through the hard times. Unfortunately it has been extremely hard for us to spay and neuter , vaccinate and microchip all of our Animals and stay in the black. The adoption fee doesn't cover the expenses that it takes to properly care for the animals. The Humane Society makes no profit. So if i can even make the slightest difference I will have achieved my goal. My biggest concern is that the Humane Society will run out of money  and it will become a Government ran facility, an Animal Control. Many do not know but the Midland County Animal Control had over a 70 percent kill rate for dogs and over 90 percent for cats. It also wasn't done Humanely. The first thing the Humane Society did was destroy this gas cambers which took so many lives. Litters of Kittens and puppies would be gassed at a time. In case you don't know when an animal is gassed it is Carbon Dioxide released into a closed off space which then suffocates them to death. Many think the peacefully fell asleep with a shot, but no they spent their last minutes alive gasping for one more breath which they never got.I cannot let that happen again and that is why I am using my 20 time to try and save these animals. The Humane Society has over a 90 percent save rate for cats and dogs. If the Humane Society fails than I fail and I am asking everyone to help, there is no donation to small. Every penny helps. If you cant spare anymore there are plenty of animals that would just love for you to comfort them and make them feel like the matter. Because they do. So if you read this please help anyway you possibly can. Thank you, Erin.
